WVCardHub (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates wvcardhub.com, a directory and community platform for the West Virginia trading card and hobby community. Questions about this policy: privacy@wvcardhub.com.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: email address, display name, avatar photo when you register.
• Listing content: shop/show/vendor/creator listings, reviews, photos, and seller marketplace ads you submit.
• Seller profile: display name, bio, city/state, card types, and optional social links you add to your seller page.
• Subscription & billing: payment information is handled by our payment processor (Stripe) — we store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status, never raw card numbers.
• Communications: emails or messages you send us.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps.
• Cookies & local storage: session tokens, authentication state, and preference settings. We use essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
• Analytics: aggregated usage data to understand how the site is used. We do not sell or share individual browsing data with advertisers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and improve the platform.
• Authenticate your account and maintain session security.
• Display your public listings, seller profile, and reviews to other visitors.
• Process Pro subscription billing through Stripe.
• Send transactional emails (account alerts, password resets).
• Send marketing/newsletter emails if you opt in (you may unsubscribe any time).
• Investigate abuse, enforce our Terms & Conditions, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Public Content

Content you submit to public-facing pages — listings, reviews, seller profiles, and marketplace ads — is visible to all visitors, including those not logged in. Do not include information in public content that you wish to keep private (e.g., personal phone numbers in listing descriptions).

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers: Supabase (database/auth hosting), Vercel (web hosting), Stripe (payment processing). Each operates under its own privacy policy and processes data only as needed to provide services to us.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or valid government process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of WVCardHub, its users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with reasonable notice to you.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and submitted content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention records).

Public listings and reviews may remain associated with an anonymized identifier after account deletion.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and hashed authentication credentials managed by Supabase Auth. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

WVCardHub is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@wvcardhub.com and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Choices & Rights

• Account information: Update your display name, avatar, and email preferences from your Account settings.
• Marketing emails: Unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Transactional emails cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
• Cookies: Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies; some site features may not function correctly without them.
• Account deletion: Contact privacy@wvcardhub.com to request account deletion.
• Access & correction: Contact us to request a copy of your personal data or to correct inaccuracies.

West Virginia residents may also have rights under the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act (W. Va. Code § 46A). Contact us with any privacy rights requests.

10. Third-Party Links

WVCardHub may contain links to external sites (seller social profiles, card shop websites, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies independently.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
